TERMS & CONDITIONS - THE BASICS
These terms apply to every team entering a Mid-Atlantic Softball Circuit event. MASC is operated by DMV Dream Athletics Inc.
Entry
Entry is complete when payment clears and a spot is confirmed in writing. Submitting a form does not hold a spot.
Entry fees are $650 per team unless stated otherwise on the event page. Softball Nation team membership is required, is paid separately to Softball Nation, and is not included.
The three-game guarantee
Every team is guaranteed three pool games on Saturday, subject to the weather policy. Sunday bracket play is earned through pool results and is not guaranteed.
Eligibility
Teams must hold current Softball Nation membership and submit an official roster before their first game. Playing an ineligible player forfeits every game that player appeared in. No refund is issued for forfeited games.
Schedules and format
MASC sets the schedule, the pools, and the bracket. We reserve the right to adjust format, game length, and field assignments to complete the event, including in response to weather, field conditions, or entry count.
If an age group does not reach the minimum number of teams, MASC may combine age groups or cancel that age group. Affected teams receive a full refund or the choice to move to another age group.
Conduct
Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, parents, and spectators. MASC may remove any person from the park for abusive behavior toward umpires, staff, opponents, or families. Removal does not entitle a team to a refund.
Awards
Player of the Game is selected by the opposing coach. All Tournament Team selections are nominated by coaches. Championship MVP is selected by the losing coach in each final. Award decisions are final and are not reviewable.
Media
By entering, a team agrees that MASC may photograph and record its games and award presentations, and use those images to promote MASC events. Individual opt-outs are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Assumption of risk
Softball involves risk of injury. Each participating organization is responsible for its own insurance and for the supervision of its players. [Waiver and indemnification language to be supplied by counsel. Do not publish this section as written.]
Facility
MASC events at Cosca Regional Park are held under permit from the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. All park rules apply, including rules on alcohol, pets, and vehicles.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted at the time of your entry governs that entry.
